Is Fucidin (or other fusidic acid creams) available over-the-counter in Thailand?

I don%26#039;t know how about Thailand, but I have bought it online

Fucidin / Fucibet Medicated cream?

My poor nan has a terrible skin complaint that only Fucidin cream helps but her doctor wont prescribe it for her.

Can I buy this online?

If so can someone provide a link for me?

Massive thanks xx|||No, its prescription only so you can only get it from the doctor. You might be able to get it of ebay but I doubt it will be the real thing.|||fucidin is fungal cream and there are many fungal cream that u can substitute for fucidin. so ask the gp if she or he can prescribe u another cream.

if u want to buy it on line u can check out the website :- http://www.drugstore.com|||If her GP won%26#039;t prescribe it there must be a good reason! Fucibet for example damages the skin if it is used for any length of time. Trying to obtain a medication on-line that your GP does not feel is appropriate sounds pretty short sighted and potentially harmful to me!|||There%26#039;s a reason why her gp wont prescribe it. Find out if it interacts with her other medication or her skin condition is not fungal based. Find out the reason why before you jump the gun, you are not a medical practitioner and you may do her more harm than good.|||He probably won%26#039;t prescribe it because it is a steroidal cream which thins the skin considerably with prolonged use, it is unsuitable for use in the elderly for this reason alone, and it is a very good reason, sorry=0(|||The doctor gave me that for my daughter when she had eczema and it was really helpful. You should go into a pharmacy and ask what they would suggest, they do sell creams very similar.

Can Fucidin cream be administer on small cuts and wounds caused by knife or sharp instument????

I had earlier in the morning open a can of fruit syrup with a canopener. Accidentally, my thumb was in the way and was slightly cut by the open tin can. The wound is small with no bleeding. But I can feel smarting pain. The can is clean,no rust on it and the can opener is new. The tin can of the fruit syrup is new, just bought from the supermarket. Therefore, I do not think tetanus is the general worry. I administer Burnol antiseptic cream on it and plaster it after washing the cut wound. The thumb still has a smarting pain. After 4 hours later, I decide to use Fucidin on the cut wound. Then the smarting pain was gone!!! I did not plaster the cutwound because I want the skin- tissue to breathe. Fucidin has helped me alot and will continue this treatment by applying 3 times a day. My question is---- can Fucidin be used on open cutwound even though the cutwound is not caused by gram-positive bacterial organisms like staphylococci, folliculitis, boils, impetig鈥?etc????? Thanks!!!!!!|||i know nothing a bout fucidin cream

it would be better to treat your wounds by disinfecting it with hydrogen peroxide and rubbing betadine in it|||yes|||You should have just sucked that tiny cut...but as you say it didn%26#039;t even bleed. Relax...move on. You did more than necessary already. If you do this to a scratch - what do you do when it%26#039;s actually a real cut?|||If the can wasn%26#039;t rusty, I wouldn%26#039;t worry too much... However, put hydorgen peroxide, on it, often... That should kill any kinds of impurities, that could have come off of the can... And, I found an old home remedy.. Once, your %26quot;owee%26quot; has started to healing, instead, of a band aid, use air, and vaseline. Vaseline, helped all 4 of my kids %26quot;owee%26#039;s %26quot; to heal faster, with less scarring while they were growing-up. I%26#039;d put it on at bedtime, so it doesn%26#039;t get on your clothes, or in your hair, though. That%26#039;s when I would put it on for them... This is only once the bleeding has stopped completely... Happy-Healing, to you..........

What is Fucidin H cream used for?

Fucidin cream on dogs?

Hi there was just wondering if i could use some fucidin cream on my dog?? She suffers from spots that break open a lot and the vet told me to bathe them in iodene but i have ran out and wont be able to get some more till next week so was jus wondering if i could this cream till then?

Thanks for any help in advance|||No it%26#039;s best to not to use Fucidin cream on an open spots/sores. If I were you just wait until next week and in the meantime just try and keep the area clean.

You can purchase Iodine solution from most chemists.|||The safest thing to do would be to miss a day%26#039;s treatment or ring and ask your vet

Fucidin cream,good for acne?

i have no idea what it is|||White toothpaste. That simple, I spent a small fortune on my 16 year old daughters face for acne. Someone told me this and I told her and she gave it a try and it worked. Her face hasn%26#039;t been this clear in a couple of years! Try it. Just plain toothpaste, no whiteners are anything added. She lets it dry over night and rinse in the morning.|||Definitely not. It is used to treat eczema when it is weeping.

Skin disease w/c is known "PIGSA", she used fucidin cream and take cloxacillin but still it back again.

She already take this for 1 week as the doctor%26#039;s prescribed but still it back again and again...Please help my cousin. What the other medicine she can take..?|||The very best treatment for any skin disease or eruption or injury/burn is HONEY!!!

Get LOCAL honey, uncooked, natural.

Apply to skin once daily and leave on for 20 minutes, then shower or bathe off.

This works on acne, shingles, even severe burns. It can be applied and left on with a bandage cover if needed. It can be applied more than one a day if desired.

Good luck to your cousin!

Can i use fucidin cream all over my scalp?

Try something made for scalp treatment such as Betnovate scalp lotion|||i don,t know why do you want to use it on your scalp, but if you are not totally bald, it is hard to apply a cream on your scalp. i think you%26#039;d better to choose an other form of the med. e.g.: lotion

Has used fucidin H cream and had a bubble pop up?

Been using on a growth beside my piercing....a bubble came up over it though. Is this normal with fucidin h?

Thanks

Anyone know the side effects of fucidin h cream?

i was given it for a bad skin and blood infection on my arm... heard it%26#039;s steroid cream, so slightly worried, can it do me any harm?|||Yes, fucidin h contains hydrocortisone and fusidic acid. The hydrocortisone is a mild corticosteroid....not a powerful one. But, since it is a corticosteriod, a little goes a long way so always apply it sparingly and thinly.

Side effects include:

rash

skin irritation

folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles)

increased hair growth at usage site

contact dermatitis

change in pigmentation at usage site

Please note that not everyone gets side effects! It should not cause you any harm as long as you use it as directed and only for the issue for which it was prescribed for (usually a skin disorder complicated with a bacterial infection). Don%26#039;t take it upon yourself to use it for every skin issue (acne, rashes, itching, etc) that you develop. It is not right for every skin problem.

Can I apply fucidin cream on my pimples?

I used to...never did me any harm...can%26#039;t remember if it made any difference though so maybe try it on one for a few days and see....I think I was prescribed it for my skin on my face in the first place. try it and see!

Is it safe to use fucidin cream on cats??

If your vet as prescribed it then use it.If not take your cat to see the vet.

PS Wonder why the UK stopped using it in 2001|||no its not ask your vet first|||Yes, better use fucidin ointment (it%26#039;s like a gel) just make sure they don%26#039;t lick it off. When my cat had a surgery the vet prescribed fucidin to put on the stitches, but he was wearing an e-collar, so he couldn%26#039;t lick it. Ask a vet what is appropriate for teh specific problem of your cat. What does he have? If you need disinfection you can use some betadine instead.|||Only if prescribed by your vet. Some human abx are toxic to animals.|||No way, unless your vet prescribed it. Generally speaking, human meds are not meant for pets. There are some that would be ok, but only if your vet says so.

Dog chewed on Fucidin cream (medicine) HELP what should I do?

He somehow managed to reach the Fucidin cream and chewed the cap and even the metal part of the medicine. I%26#039;m scared that he ate up a small bit of the metal and even more scared about the amount of Fucidin that he swallowed. HELP PLEASE!!!! ASAP!!!|||If it happened in the last 45 mins, give him some hydrogen peroxide now. Make him swallow it. 1-2 tsp for small dog 1-2 tbsp for a large dog. Should produce vomiting within 5-10 mins.

Call the vet to discuss the ingredients after inducing vomiting.

Impetigo. any good cures as the fucidin cream doesnt seem to work?

This is the fourth time this year I have had it. Its on my face and heading south. Fucidin is not working. Washing my face with soap and water and leaving it to dry. I need help to make it go away for good.|||Go to the Dr. I used to get impetigo all the time too and until I had a round of strong antibiotics I never was free of it. Haven%26#039;t had it for 8 years now. Good luck.|||give it a good pick you know you want to!!!!|||you might need some oral antibiotics. If its weeping get your go to take a swab they will be able to find which is the most effective. Also try not to touch it not even soap and water.|||Strict hygeine is needed, maybe you keep infecting yourself. Use only white towels, bedding and face cloths (this is not as stupid as it sounds coz you can boil wash them and not end up with multicolour washing!).

If the fucidin is not working then you need to see your doctor again becasue there are other treatmnents he can prescribe.

I will keep my fingers crossed that you get it sorted soon, its a real pain.|||Gentian Violet will do the trick but it is bright purple.|||My daughter had Impetigo last year and I have never heard of it until then. I took her to the doctor and she gave my daughter an ointment called MUPIROCIN OINTMENT. You have to go to the doctor, though because it is by prescription only. This stuff really works. On the first day of using it on my daughter, we saw a significant change in the way it looked. The ointment dried it out really quick and it was gone in a few days. Go see your doctor because even though I gave you the name of the ointment, it might not work as well for you. The best thing you can do is to see your doctor and do not touch it because according to her doctor it is contagious if you touch it and you touch someone else or another part of your body.|||wash with Dermol 600

antibiotics if things get desperate|||Go to your GP. Info on the ailment at link below|||Impetigo is a bacterial skin infection. It can occur almost anywhere. but usually appears in the area around your nose and mouth. It is contagious (catching), especially among children.

In impetigo, a small patch of tiny blisters appears, but soon break, exposing a patch of red, moist, weeping skin beneath.

Gently wash away the crusts of impetigo with soap and water, so that the ointment your doctor may prescribe will be able to contact the affected area and hasten healing. Keep your own soap and towel away from others to avoid spreading the infection.

You physician will probably prescribe antibiotics, to be taken by mouth or injected. An ointment may also be prescribed. This treatment should clear up impetigo within seven to ten days.|||bactroban is usually prescribed, if it wont clear a course of oral antibiotics may be required. Remember it is highly infectious and can be spread easily by hands, towels flannels etc.|||ask your doctor for FLUCLOXACILLIN its an oral antibiotic medicine, my son had it and he was given the cream and this medicine that works very well, also try to soften the scabs and wash them away then apply the cream as the infection is under the scab|||When my daughter had it she was prescribed antibiotics and that did the trick

If Fucidin cream is used for a long period of time could it cause acne?

No, but prolonged use will often lead to sensitivity to the drug and cause skin reaction.|||I know that Fuciderm gel is a steroid. If Fucidin is also a steroid, you should look up the side effects before you use it long term. If it is steroidal it will give you more problems than acne.

Took corticosteroid 3 mo (cream-vaginal area twice a day), blood sugar & pressure are up, will this go down?

How long will it take for the corticosteroid to get out of my system?|||that%26#039;s a hard question to answer. it depends on the specific steroid, how much you used each application, how much may have been absorbed (which should be a low amount), and how long ago you stopped it (if you have stopped). If you stopped over a week ago, then the effects should have went away. you may have been on the verge of having this problem anyways, and the steroid just pushed it to happen more quickly.

Where can i get corticosteroid cream?

For the majority of topical steroid creams, you would require a prescription from the doctor. The important thing to consider is the purpose for the cream. These types of creams are very hard on the skin surface, by thinning the layer and should be used quite sparingly. It is also important not to cover or wrap the area to contain the lotion or cream on the skin. These things are usually mentions on the print out from the pharmacy.|||wat|||if you are in indonesia, you can buy it in every pharmacy without prescription. but you are somewhere else, i think you might need a doctor%26#039;s prescription. don%26#039;t forget it can cause hardening of the skin if used in long period. stop using it if you feel better already.|||Dermatologist|||Cortaid is an over-the-counter non-prescription cream available in pharmacies and some grocery stores. The prescription strength variety requires a doctor%26#039;s visit and a visit to the pharmacist.|||never herid of sorry

Is there a name in arabic for corticosteroid cream?

Is there?It%26#039;s a kind of cream.|||Having been to Iraq in the business of working medicine and health care I can tell you that would be a no. All medicine is done with the english names since that is how the Iraqi physicians are required to learn. There will be Arabic writing on the package but that is only to make it easier to read for everyone else.|||I have no idea.

Eczema: Should I avoid exposing skin treated with corticosteroid cream to direct sunlight?

I%26#039;ve heard that if you use corticosteroid cream on your skin for eczema, you shouldn%26#039;t expose the skin to sunlight/daylight. Is this true? Two people now have told me to only use corticosteroid cream at night to avoid light exposure. Any insights here?|||Actually,it does matter when you use corticosteroids because the use causes de-pigmentation and thinning of your skin.If you use them and expose youtrself to sunlight, your skin will lack protection from the ultraviolet rays of the sun(since the melanocytes are inhibited by the corticosteroid)and you get a lot of damage-this is especially true in people of African descent.Prolonged use of steroids can therefore predispose you toskin cancer as well as Cushing%26#039;s syndrome etc.

So limit your use of them, and never use during the day and also, use a sunscreen and moisturiser in the daytime to protect your skin from its effects.|||check here:

http://www.nationaleczema.org/home.html|||Call or visit your local Pharmacy and tell them what you are using, they will be able to give you ACCURATE instructions for using these products.|||It doesn%26#039;t matter when you use the corticosteroid cream, as it is the physical changes it causes in your skin that cause problems. I strongly suggest using sunblock (baby sunblock is formulated for sensitive skin) and just going about your business. Sunlight actually helps eczema, so maybe you will be able to start cutting down on steroids soon anyway. Good luck.|||I am an atopic dematitis patient(eczema);I have had this condition for over 40 years, which is most of my life. You should not expose your skin to direct sunlight if you are using the corticosteroids or an antihistamine;you really should be using a sunblock all of the time, even when you are indoors! When my flare ups were bad,I had to use the cream several times a day;if you get wet or sweat you have to repply the cream so there is no way that you can avoid light exposure.

What are the risks of using topical corticosteroids like Diprosone cream during pregnancy?

I%26#039;ve been using a topical ointment called Diprosone cream whenever I get skin inflammations. Now I%26#039;m 7 weeks pregnant and I%26#039;ve read just recently that this medicine has no evidence of safety for pregnant women. Now I%26#039;m so afraid what might happen to my baby. Are there any medications (creams, pills, etc.) to stop a person from sweating (or limit the amount)?

A very effective antiperspirant is Drysol, it is applied the night before and is very successful at preventing sweating for the next day, it should be used everyday at first then slowly start to lower the number of times it is used weekly, until eventually you will only have to use it once or twice a month.

Drysol is available at most pharmacies, possibly a prescription needed, but likely just over the counter.|||In addition to drysol, here are some other more natural methods to consider:

1. Drink more water - the more cold water you drink, the more you will be helping your body to regulate it%26#039;s own body temperature, thus the less you will sweat.

2. Stop drinking coffee - coffee is loaded with caffeine and sugar, both of which are stimulants which increase anxiety and thus sweating.

3. Use sweat pads - Sweat pads are a great alternative to wearing extra layers or sweaters...you can find them online...they are adhesive absorbent pads that you can stick to the insides of your shirts so that they absorb your sweat.

4. Quit Smoking - Smoking causes vasodilation(enlarges blood vessels) which results in more blood flow, which means an increase in body temperature which means increased sweating!

5. Charcoal - Believe it or not, eating charcoal on an empty stomach can help reduce sweating in as little as two days, for best results take it on an empty stomach.

6. Sage Tea - This one is killer! Take a tablespoon of sage leaves and steep it in a cup of boiled water for less than 10 minuets. Strain the leaves , add a slice of lime to the tea and drink it. Don%26#039;t brew longer than 10 min though, it can be toxic if over brewed!

7. Wheat Grass - This is another great solution, try looking for it online. Drink a glass of this a day.

8. Spicy Foods - Spicy foods stimulate your sympathetic nervous system which is responsible for triggering your sweat glands to sweat. Cut back on the spicy foods and you cut back on the sweating.

9. Potatoes - Potatoes are a natural way for you to stop excessive sweating. Simply cut one open and rub the inside of it on your underarms, don%26#039;t ask how, but it works!

10. Alcohol - Alcohol tends to dilate your blood vessels and in so doing, increases your overall body temperature. An increase in body temperature means an increase in sweating, so watch your alcohol intake.

Try doing a few of these techniques all at once for the best results, there are more tactics to try out at the link below..

good luck,

-Renard|||Just a quick question, why do you need to stop sweating? If it is too severe, what is the underlying cause? Try to figure out what makes you sweat, physical exertion, stress, certain foods, too hot environment? Your answer might be in those causes, not in a pill.

Pls HELP: Low water input High medication intake ; loves to take medication ea and coffee juice ice cream?

Hi All

My mom had her operation about 5 years back

Shes ok now.Her left side carotid vein artery was clipped as she had swelling and burts in the same as a result of stroke.

The operation was done in AIIMS and she is under medication since then for BP and takes 9 medicines in a day

My question is SHE DOES NOT DRINK WATER - how to make her drink water or what other substitues can be given to her ?

Excess juice ( which she loves may cause diabetes we fear )

Dad passed away due to diabetes. All she has is 3 glasses because you have dinner, lunch and breakfast in a day .1 up cofee and 2 glasses of tea and 1 glass tea

Thats her liquid intake. Shes adamant at times to go out and leaves no chance to go out and mix with people

She has trouble in getting sleep and worries about small things - %26quot;is the door locked%26quot;, %26quot;get me an ice cream ( shell repeat till she confirmed and convinced you will get her a cup of ice cream ) etc. . She hates to exercise and do yoga or walk

Pls HELP|||Motivation %26amp; proper counselling is the answer.

Is there anything I can use to make herpes clear up faster?( cream )I am already taking medication for them.?

http://herpesrxfast.com/zovirax.php

.Zovirax is used to treat herpes infections of the skin, lip, and genitals; herpes zoster (shingles); and chickenpox. It does not cure herpes infections but decreases pain and itching and promotes healing. Topical Zovirax does not prevent the recurrence of sores but may decrease pain and itching if applied when the earliest symptoms first appear. Oral Zovirax decreases the frequency and severity of recurrent sores, but it is used only by people with severe herpes infections because of possible adverse effects. One thing you can do along with the meds is a regimen of ASPIRIN every 4-6 hours till the outbreak heals. Works for both genital and mouth herpes.|||yes when I was taking all my meds and stuff for it the doc gave me a cream, I wish I remembered the name but that helps fight the virus on the outside to clear up the breakout faster. it also helps relieve some of the discomfort and believe me I lived by it also try L-lysine to prevent future breakouts ... hope that helps... ask you doc they should know|||if its on your lips then use Lysine-found in rite aid stores

Is zazole vaginal cream good for a yeast infection, i have the medication, but dont know if i should take it?

i tryed to wash my private with palmolive soap but gave me itchy feeling, so am taking this because i dont have vagisil or monestate|||no! it is not!!

and if you have yeast infection then you must get rid of it as soon as it is possible!!!

if you really want to get rid of yeast infection then you must follow these tips - they worked for me:

1) Eat yogurt!!!! It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and bifidus) that destroy yeast. Use only plain yogurt with active cultures.

2) Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.

3) Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.

4) Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent.

5) also you should use some herbal treatment. In that case Yeastrol is really good (probably the best) product that gets rid of yeast infection comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that it wont reappear again!

And of course it is better if you use full course (5 months - if I remember correctly). For me it worked very fast + I dont get yeast infections anymore (almost 2 years) ...

Good luck.|||Use oil to wash your face. Yes, it sounds ridiculous, but the Oil Cleansing Method is extremely popular, and many people are having success with it.

You can use Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Almond Oil, Jojojoba Oil, etc.

I use Jojoba. It is the oil most like the sebum in our pores. I rub some on a dry face. I soak a washcloth in hot water and cover my face (for the steam to open my pores). Then, I wipe the oil off with the washcloth after it has cooled. Then I use a gentle cleanser.

It makes sense - oil attracts oil, oil likes oil. Oil is going to %26quot;grab%26quot; oil and dirt from your face better than soap, detergent, etc...

I take pain medication and my reaction to this is extreme itching. Can you suggest a good cream to use?

I have tried Gold Bond Medicated Cream which just works OK..any suggestions would be apperciated..Thanks|||It totally depends on the kind of itch you have and what your symptoms are. Is it a rash? Bumps? Little blisters? Where is the itch?

If your itch is extreme I would do the following:

1st: Make an appt. to see a dermatologist and tell him (or your doctor) about the side effects of your meds. They should be able to perscribe a perscription strength hydrocortisone cream.

2nd: Hydrocortisones are one topical that will ease your itching, but it%26#039;s not the only thing, and it doesn%26#039;t stop all itches.

There are also steroid cremes that aren%26#039;t like real steroids- but they have real itch stopping strength.

Sunshine for blemishes

Unprotected exposure to the sun (without sunscreen) can help to heal blemishes and stimulate production of vitamin D in the skin. However, limit your exposure to 2-4 times a week for no longer than 15 minutes. Choose a time before 10:30 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m., when the sun%26#039;s rays are not as strong. Note: Excessive sun exposure can cause long-term damage to the skin, which can result in skin cancer. Avoid any prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Care Tips

路Acne can also be caused by fluctuating hormones, stress, certain medications, food allergies and a diet high in fat. Determine if your outbreak is due to one of these factors and use the night gel for quick acne relief.

路To prevent further aggravation of your existing pimples, keep your hands scrupulously clean and away from your face. Resist the urge to squeeze or pick at acne, which could further inflame an outbreak and result in permanent scarring or pitting. Other basic tips are keeping your hair clean and away from your face; and sanitizing your telephone daily to remove bacteria that can help promote acne infection on your jaw-line.

路Many commercial care products for oily skin contain isopropyl alcohol, benzoyl peroxide and acetone, all of which excessively strip the skin surface oil. In addition, these products can dehydrate the skin, which, in turn causes the skin to produce even more oil to make up for the deficit.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil has an anesthetic benefit without numbness; it is anti-bacterial, killing bacteria after only 20 seconds exposure; it is a natural fungicide; it causes the necrotic tissue to slough and heals without scarring in just a couple of days; it penetrates into the deeper tissues, down into the connective tissue and muscles; it is a natural antiseptic; it is an effective solvent and therefore a natural cleanser, able to dissolve stains and resins.

Tea tree oil helps to prevent infection in minor cuts, wounds, abrasions, athlete%26#039;s foot, jock itch, yeast infections, minor burns, sunburn, insect bites, stinging nettles, chicken pox, herpes lesions, bleeding gums, canker sores, gingivitis, strep throat, mosquito repellent, strengthen the immune system, muscle aches and pains, bronchitis, shingles.... the list is almost endless!

Because tea tree oil kills viruses, bacteria and fungi, it can heal internal and external infections. It is safe to use undiluted on the most sensitive and delicate parts of the body.

Acne is a tremendously embarrassing and burdensome problem. It is easy to feel that you don%26#039;t have control over your breakouts. But the fact is, you do. Now, your first response may be to assume that I%26#039;m going to recommend you see your dermatologist. Well, think again. Natural remedies can be just as effective and medications. Possibly more powerful. Sometimes, all your body needs is the right nutritional balance and proper skin care. Here are some easy things you can start doing today to help you heal your acne. You should notice a difference in about 4 weeks.

路Apply a honey mask to your face once or twice a week - Honey has antibacterial properties so it is great for disinfecting and healing minor blemishes. It is also gentle on sensitive skin.

路Wash twice a day with acne soap - You should wash your face twice a day with a sulfur based soap designed for acne. Once when you first wake up in the morning and then, right before you go to bed at night. Be extremely gentle to your skin when washing - do not scrub or use any sort of rough cloth. Overwashing your skin will actually stimulate your sebaceous glands to produce more sebum, thus increasing your acne.

路Keep your hair off your face - If you have long hair or bangs, pull your hair off your face. Your hair contains oils as well, and will contribute to your breakouts. You铆ll also want to wash your hair everyday and after workouts

路Take a potent multi-vitamin - Acne can be a sign that something is wrong on the inside. Your skin depends on nutrition. It is a vital organ that is usually neglected. If your body is not receiving the right nutrition, it will fight back. One common way it will rebel is to produce excessive sebum, clogging pores, and reducing the ability for your skin to heal and fight bacteria.

路Include chromium in your diet - Chromium is well known for weight loss diets. But it is also excellent for healing infections on the skin. Taking a chromium supplement once a day will help heal your pimples quickly and prevent future breakouts.

路Eat carrots for beta-carotene (Vitamin A) - Vitamin A strengthens the protective tissue of the skin and actually prevents acne. It helps reduce sebum production. This vitamin is essential for the maintenance and repair of the tissue which the skin and mucous membranes are made of. Vitamin A is also a powerful antioxidant needed to rid your body of toxins. Did you know that a deficiency in vitamin A can actually cause acne?

路Avoid wearing makeup - Leaving makeup products on your skin only contributes to clogging your pores, causing more pimples and blackheads. If you feel you must wear makeup, be sure it is water-based.

路Drink 8 glasses of water - Drinking water is essential for clean skin and your overall health. Water is essential for carrying waste material out of your body... and is quite possibly flare-ups

路Do not pick or squeeze your blackheads and pimples - As tempting as it may be, do not squeeze, scratch, rub or touch your pimples and blackheads. Do any of these actions, actually increases the sebum production. Plus, when you squeeze, you are actually rupturing the membranes below your skin, causing infection and sebum to spread underneath your skin. The result is more pimples.

路Wash your pillow case every other day - Your face lays on your pillow case every day. Your pillow case absorbs the oils from your skin and reapplies the dirt and oil. Thus causing breakouts. Keep your sheets and pillow cases clean.

路Eat foods rich in zinc - Zinc is an antibacterial agent and a necessary element in the oil-producing glands of the skin. A diet low in zinc can actually cause acne breakouts.

How 8 Glasses of Water a Day Can Keep Acne Away

Drinking water is essential for clean skin and your overall health. Water is essential for carrying waste material out of your body... and is quite possibly the single most important contributor to healing and preventing acne flare-ups.

How much water should you be drinking every day? Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water a day for beautiful skin.

Your body is made up of 70 percent water. Water is literally your body%26#039;s life force. It is involved in nearly every bodily process, including digestion, absorption, circulation and excretion.

Water is also the primary transporter of nutrients throughout your body. If not enough water is consumed, toxins can build up causing breakouts. Water flushes these toxins out.

Without adequate water, we would poison ourselves with our own metabolic wastes. Your kidneys remove waste products that must be dissolved by water. So, by drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, you are flushing out the toxins that would normally escape through the pores of your skin... thus preventing acne breakouts.

Your kidneys cannot function properly without enough water. When they do not work to capacity, some of the load is dumped onto your liver.

One of your liver%26#039;s primary functions is to metabolize stored fat into usable energy for your body. But, if your liver has to do some of the kidney%26#039;s work, it cannot work at full capacity. A liver that is not performing at its best can worsen acne because it cannot break down and clear excess hormones from your body.

Water helps maintain proper muscle tone, by giving muscles their natural ability to contract and by preventing dehydration. Shrinking cells are buoyed by water which plumps your skin and leaves it clear, healthy and resilient.

More important information about water

Water is also extremely important in losing weight and keeping it off. Water suppresses the appetite and helps your body metabolize stored fat.

Studies have shown that a decrease in water intake will cause fat deposits to increase while an increase in water intake can actually reduce fat deposits.

Drinking 8 glasses of water a day can also eliminate water retention. Sodium may be a cause of water retention. Water flushes the sodium out of your system.

Water can help relieve constipation. When your body gets too little water, it siphons what it needs from internal sources. The colon is one primary source. The result is constipation. But if you drink enough water, normal bowel function returns. So, drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day.

Your body will not function properly without enough water and cannot rid itself of wastes and toxins. Drinking water is essential for clear, healthy skin.|||if u want them 2 go away i think u should stop eating candy and drink more water

Happy New Years, too.|||I think you%26#039;re fine and you should give it some more time. The itching could just be a simple reaction to the medication, maybe it%26#039;s working. I don%26#039;t know if it ever makes my feet itch because it%26#039;s been awhile since I%26#039;ve had to use that stuff. After you soak your feet though, dry them off really well and put the medication back on with a new pair of socks. When you wash your laundry make sure to wash your socks in bleach.|||It sounds like you may be allergic to an ingredient in the cream... try a powder ( it%26#039;s not as concentrated) and if that doesn%26#039;t work or you have a simmiler reaction you should call your doctor and let him know... he can perscribe something different. good luck!|||I%26#039;ve always used Tinactin for athlete%26#039;s foot (spray). 3yr old had gastroenteritis for 5 days -still on medication . His poo is pale/cream in colour. ?

Why is this? Is is because the medication is white? he is eating properly and drinking well. He was on drips while admitted in hospital.

He also stilll complains of stomach pain after eating. He now has a chesty cough which developed overnight.|||Rishen M,

After an illness, in this case GI, stools may change character for up to two weeks. The illness can affect the lining of the intestines and make it more difficult in the first few weeks to digest food. This is often seen as the child feels better and is eating normally, but still has diarrhea. There is no cause for concern about continued mild diarrhea or loose stools as this should correct itself. The light coloured stools may be normal, but if it does not resolve in the next few days you would be advised to consult your doctor. In rare cases, pale coloured stools may accompany liver problems.

He is on medication? Perhaps the cough is a reaction to the medication, perhaps it is a cold, it is something you will most certainly need to tell the doctor. It could be nothing, but considering his age, I%26#039;d get it checked as soon as you can... Tell the doctor what his poos look like.

He would have been on drips to rehydrate him and possibly administer salt and sugar (as he would have been lacking these from vomiting or diarrhea) or medication.|||Take him back to the doctor; if that doesn%26#039;t work, take him to A%26amp;E.

What is the quickest form of medication absorbed by the body taking a tablet, rubbing cream or a stick on patch?

Of the three, a tablet would be probably the most rapidly absorbed. It also depends on the type of medicine. Some can be fairly rapidly absorbed by the body.

Intravenous administration is usually the most rapid method. Nicotine is very rapidly absorbed by the lungs into the blood stream thence to the brain. I%26#039;ve never tried coke, but I%26#039;m told one feels it very shortly after snorting. Some medications given by rectal suppository are surprisingly rapidly absorbed. Likewise under the tongue, nitroglycerin for angina as an example. Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections are often surprisingly slow to be absorbed.

So, in rough general order of rapid absorption: intravenous %26gt; inhalation %26gt; rectal %26gt; sublingual %26gt; oral %26gt; IM %26gt; subq %26gt; transdermal, all with a lot of variation depending on the type of substance.|||Not too easy to answer. Some tablets are formulated to be either delayed release or slowly releasing, there are too few %26quot;rubbing cream%26quot; formulations to make a comparison, and patches are almost always intended as slow-release preparations. The answer is probably a regular tablet if the target is a proper blood level.

Should i get prescription acne medication from a dermatologist, or should I stick to my overthecounter cream?

Question about differin cream acne medication?

Im 13 and im kind of confused. i heard that differin is supposed to dry out your skin but for me my skin turns greasy or oily?Am i doing anything wrong?

I have been on it for 3 weeks btw.|||I have used Differin in the past.

It made my skin dry at first, then got a bit oily.

I don%26#039;t think you%26#039;re doing anything wrong. Here%26#039;s what I think is happening: the Differin is actually drying out your skin. When your skin is dry, your body tries to give it some moisture by producing more oil. So that%26#039;s why your skin is oily.

That may not be the exact reason, so I would talk to a doctor or dermatologist about it.|||That%26#039;s not a usual side effect of differin. But it depends on your moisturizer and if your skin is naturally oily.|||everyone reacts differently to medicine

What is the STRONGEST acne medication/cream treatment avalable?

because it will react or something.

why is this?|||It can cause skin flushing or generalized redness of the skin. So avoid alcohol.

What is the best medication or cream for a really bad breakout on the face?

try applying benzoyl peroxide|||The best thing to use for an acne breakout ( if that is what you are referring to) is first of all do not use anything containing alcohol. This strips the face of the first layer of skin and dries the face. This will lead to increased production of oils and cause an even worse breakout. Use something with benzoyl peroxide in it. It will not only cleanse the face, but will also kill the bacteria that can sometimes cause the acne. A good cream to use is Persa-Gel by Johnson %26amp; Johnson. It is water-based and contains the benzoyl peroxide ( costs about $4-$5). The very best thing that I have found is not a cream or med., it is the new ClearLight treatments. It consists of eight 15-minute treatments under what looks like a sunlamp. It is very inexpensive (about the cost of tanning bed sessions), and is pain-free. It will have your skin looking awesome in just a couple of treatments. I have my treatments done at the salon where I get my hair done. She just sits me under it after my haircut. It could not be any simpler. I know that this is a long answer, but I hope it helps.|||queen helene masque, mint julep from drugstore.com

How to to reduce smelling of the eyes lip, after surgen. Medication, cream or ice ? quick fix !! Please! help?

I suppose you mean swelling and not %26quot;smelling%26quot; in that case, I would use ice and cream/ medication.|||Well I think you mean SWELLING and not smelling, so I am going with that. Ice packs are great or even frozen peas! It%26#039;s a natural way to reduce swelling. Before taking any meds, even OTC drugs, ask your doctor. You don%26#039;t want them to react badly with anything you are currently on! Your doctor will be able to tell you exactly what to take or he/she might even prescribe you something to help. 3] do 20 minutes on, 20 min off; 20 on, etc.

Who can prescribe for me a cream or medication that can make my skin lighter, brighter, smooth and soft?

I have uneven skin tone in my body and its as if my skin is wrinkling does anyone know a cream that can take care of that.|||Here are a few ideas for skin-lightening creams you can brew up at home.

Bleaching Cream:

1/4 cup mineral oil

1 tablespoon beeswax or paraffin

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/2 cup whey

1)Use a double boiler large enough to hold three small glass bowls with the separate ingredients, or use two double boilers. First, place the mineral oil and paraffin in bowls and then in the top of the double boiler. Watch until the wax is nearly melted and then add a bowl with the lemon juice and whey.

2)Pour the melted wax into a glass bowl and stir in the warm oil, mixing vigorously. Keep mixing and add the warm lemon juice and whey. Cover and refridgerate for 2 hours until cream is set.

3)Remove the mixture from the refridgerator and whip with an electric hand mixer or wire wisk until light and creamy. You may add a drop of your favorite perfume at this step, if desired.

4)Store cream in the refridgerator for up to 6 weeks.

Lemon Lightening Pack:

2 tablespoons fuller%26#039;s earth

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon buttermilk

mix all ingredients into a paste and apply to the skin in light upward strokes. Sit back with your feet up for 20 minutes; rinse with the SKIN BLEACHING TONIC

Skin Bleaching Tonic:

1 lemon, sliced

1 cup white wine

1 tablespoon sugar

1)place lemon slices and wine in an enamel or glass pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for one minute. Remove from heat, stir in the sugar, and let cool

2)Strain the mixture and store in a tightly capped bottle.|||Ask Michael Jackson

Can I use the sunless tanning spray if I am on acne medication or bleaching cream?

I recently went to my dermatologist who prescribed me HQRA which is Retin-A, plus bleaching cream for my sunspots. But it is strongly advised that I stay out of the sun and wear sunscreen when going outside. Does anyone know if using a sunless tanning spray or Mystic/Magic Tan is safe? Let me know please.|||Do not mix your perscribed stuff with the tanning spray because you do not want the chemicals to conflict with each other and have a different or unwanted reaction. Continue your perscription and later use tanning spray.|||it should be safe. might turn your skin orange tho. check with your doc.|||I don%26#039;t think its safe... especially if you have acne... What topical medication ( ointment or cream) is good for chronic and stubborn eczema on the hand?

My son was born with eczema and we struggled with it for years. I tried everything, spending 100-200$ a week (seriously). I never went anywhere without at least 3 types of itch cream plus lotion. He cried and and rarely slept for more than a couple hours at a time. I could go on and on....it was horrible.

Then my husband found Freederm on the internet. We bought it not expecting much, but it relieves the itch and controls the rash. Within a couple of days his skin didn%26#039;t look so angry and was starting to get smooth. He also started sleeping through the night (and so did I).

Is it true that using acne cream or medication can make acne worse?

I%26#039;ve heard that using acne cream like Proactiv or Clearsil can clear acne for a few weeks but will cause it to come back, even worse and last even longer. Is this true?

Also, I went to an acne treatment review website and for most acne treatment brands there are reviews that say it%26#039;s amazing and also reviews that says it%26#039;s horrible, so it%26#039;s hard to know what product will have the best resulsts. Any advice?|||some are more stronger than others so if you use it , it can make it bad cause its so strong....like i had some acne, not much but when i went to my dermatologist he said the proactive would be too strong on me and its meant for severe acne|||It can, depending on the individual. Some prefer to try other methods for acne removal.|||Anytime you start using a new skin medication, your acne will become worse. Hence the term, it always get worse before it gets better. You can build an immune to certain meds or creams. Just like you should always change your shampoo every couple of months.|||a dermatologist is always the best route for acne problems. They will treat you with oral medications for the bacteria and topical medications for the outside surfaces. You will get great results usually in a pretty rapid time frame. Some of the medications are expensive, but they can often help you out with samples|||Yes it can happen. The problem with many acne medications is that it only treats whats on the surface, but not what is underneath where it%26#039;s important.

Personally, my dermatologist told me to stay away from Proactive because it can make your skin worse. It treats your acne superficially, but doesn%26#039;t treat the heart of the matter--it can actually exacerbate the acne. If you don%26#039;t have bad acne, then by all means use over the counter; however, if you are really concerned go to a dermatologist so that a professional can properly treat you.

Medication cream thats hormone based or hormonal whatever.?

What could happen if i use too much of it?|||Are you talking about cortisone cream? Over the counter cortisone creams are safe for long term usage. Prescription strength cortisone creams are usually indicated for short term use or for specific chronic conditions as they may carry the same risks as oral steroids.|||I would suggest to ask this question to your family doctor or at least ask your local pharmacist at your drug store.

Best medication/cream for removing bags under the eyes?

Well, Im an 18 year old male and Ive had dark bags under my eyes for as long as I can remember. Ive tried everything to lessen the appearance from teabags, cucumbers, or chilled spoons over the eyes. No home remedy seems to have an effect. Bags under the eyes doesnt seem to be hereditary in my family and Im quite positive that they came from eye strain of using a computer too often. I cant really see any other causes considering I get enough sleep as the average teenager, I take vitamins daily, Im not usually stressed out, and I dont eat junk food or fast food. So I believe its time to invest in some sort of cream to remove them. Id visit a dermatologist for an oppinion, but making an appointment usually results in waiting a month till I can actually see her.

What would be the best cream or medication for reducing the dark bags under my eyes?|||lots of sleep.|||Don%26#039;t know if it will help the darkness, but Preparation H, the butt cream, is also good for bags. I know that sounds funny, but it works. It%26#039;s what the models use when they have bags. Hope that helps!|||I think I may be able to help. Can I wear Jergens Natural Glow Under my acne medication cream?

I%26#039;ve used Jergens Natural Glow on my Face Before, and it didnt break me out at all...All i want to know is Can I put jergens natural glow on my face at night, but yet still be wearing my acne medication (its benzaclin) over it?

Or will the acne medication not work over it, or will the Jergens Natural Glow not work under it?|||You should always put medicated cream on your face BEFORE any moisturizer, but I%26#039;m afraid in this case the Benzaclin might not let the Jergens do its tanning work effectively or evenly. Could you maybe put the moisturizer on in the morning and the acne medication on in the evening? If not, I would apply your acne medication as evenly as possible, wait a few hours, and then put the Jergens on.|||usually on your acne bottle they say put makeup on before or after if i were u i would put it on after because it will cover the acne medication up (color wise) but it the acne stuff can still work on your skin|||The product should have a information line you can call to ask questions. Look on the packet ,they will be able to tell you.

Is there any non-cream medication that can prevent/reduce skin irritation?

I have a dog whose hair makes my arm turn red and itchy almost immediately after contact. This lasts for about an hour or so. There aren%26#039;t any other typical allergy side effects like sneezing and such, just itchy red skin. The only pill I%26#039;ve found that can reduce this is Benadryl, which has the side effect of making me sleepy. Is there any other antihistamine allergy pill that can help with skin irritation?|||They do sell NON-drowsy Benadryl ya know.

Can I bring prescribed medication cream on plane?

Hey guys! :) I was just wondering if I can bring prescribed medication cream on plane and if It has to be put in the quart size bag, cause I mean its medication and was prescribed for me so im not sure :/ If anyone knows a FOR SURE answer because It would be awful to get there and have to throw away my prescription. :( Best answer gets 10 points. :) Thank you guys!|||Good afternoon,

The TSA (the organization in charge or US transportation security) does permit prescription creams through security checkpoints according to their website, listed below.

%26quot;With certain exceptions for prescription and over-the-counter medicines...%26quot; (Paragraph 2 at below link).

Have a great trip!|||All medications are allowed in carry-on luggage, regardless of the size or amount. In liquid form (like your cream) they are exempt from the 3-1-1- liquid carry-on rule. If they are 3.4 oz. or less, you can still put them in the 1-quart zip-top bag. However, if they are more than 3.4 oz. you must declare them at the security entry point, as they will need additional screening. The TSA recommends that all medications be labeled so that the screening process goes more smoothly (although it is not required). Here is a link to the TSA page that discusses traveling with medications:

http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/s鈥?/a>

It is also worth mentioning that most airlines actually recommend that all medications be carried on in the event that your checked luggage is lost.|||Now I know that security at every airport is a little different so you can always check the web site for the airport you are flying from. They will have a phone number to security and you can ask someone directly.

That being said, if you take it out of your carry on bag and run it in a seperate bowl/ bin and let them know it is medication, there is no reason to deny it entry. They may have to do some additional testing on it because it is larger than 3.4 ounces, but it should be no trouble to get it through the checkpoint.|||If it is in a 3-ounce or smaller container, then there%26#039;s no problem with it going in your quart-sized bag. If it%26#039;s bigger than that, you can only bring it through if it%26#039;s going to be necessary for you to have that much cream during the flight (and you could be asked to prove it).

If it%26#039;s too big, most drugstores sell small bottles and jars, and you could probably decant enough into one of them for your journey.|||yes of course you can. I know that i shouldnt but i always put my medicine in the bag that will be put under the plane. I brought it on my carry one once and they pulled me aside and looked at every single bottle and gave me a hard time about it but let me go. Id just put it in the bag thats going under the plane|||my neice came to see us and she had prescription drugs(she had eye drops) as long as you let them know when you go through they should be ok with that. also my parents had prescription drugs too so as long as you tell them, it should be ok.|||If they don%26#039;t allow you to bring it on board, my airline let me put it in my suitcase to go in the cargo hold.

Airline %26quot;security%26quot; has really gone stupid.
